Crypto Aid Israel raises over $185,000 with over 30 participating Web3 companies

Crypto Aid Israel , a group of local leaders in the cryptocurrency sector, is pleased to report significant progress in its mission to assist Israelis affected by the ongoing wave of Hamas terrorism. The community-backed initiative has raised more than $185,000 (about NIS 700,000), demonstrating the solidarity and collective strength of the Web3 and cryptocurrency community.

Furthermore, more than 30 firms have rallied to support the group’s cause, with notable participation from accounting giant KPMG which is assisting with fundraising and distribution. Other major companies contributing to the campaign through awareness or financial contributions include crypto wallet providers Zengo, Fuse, Wonderland, Psagot Equity and many others.

Crypto Aid Israel also announced two completed aid distributions to several organizations spearheading relief efforts. These contributions total NIS 200,000, aimed at making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need. NGOs that have received funding from Crypto Aid Israel include:

– Eshkol Regional Council Citizen Advancement Fund: an organization that supports the well-being and resilience of southern Israeli communities, especially in times of conflict, by providing provide essential services and products.

Funding is for: Supporting the travel and housing needs of citizens who, although residing in areas near Gaza, are not officially recognized by the Israeli government. This support allows affected individuals to seek safety and refuge.

– Zaka: An Israeli volunteer NGO specializing in search and rescue, disaster response and emergency medical services, often working immediately after major incidents and emergencies.

Funding is used to: Secure vital medical equipment and bulletproof vests for Zaka volunteers operating on the front lines.

– Lev Echad of Or Hanegev veHagalil: An NGO committed to supporting at-risk youth and promoting social inclusion in Israel through various education and empowerment programs.

Funding is for: Providing essentials, especially food, hygiene products and clothing to individuals who have chosen to remain in areas adjacent to Gaza to protect and support natural areas administration and Kibbutzim (settled lands).

– Latet: An Israeli non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty and providing humanitarian aid to disadvantaged communities, focusing on food security and social assistance.

Funding for: Latet launched a large-scale operation in the South, providing food and hygiene kits to populations in dire need with limited access to food and resources regime – those who remained in the South and those who were evacuated to other locations and families.

Part of the money was used to donate (helmets, food, etc.) to the Israeli company that collects bodies from the rubble and to affected families in the area.
