It seems that Donald Trump just “dumped” $2.4 million in ETH

According to blockchain data that Arkham Intelligence has been tracking for months, former President Donald Trump appears to have sold $2.4 million in ETH.

“It looks like Donald Trump is selling his ETH. Three weeks ago, he started sending ETH to Coinbase after months of accumulating Trump NFT royalties. The highest balance is $4 million. Based on deposits, Trump has so far sold 1,075 ETH for $2.4 million,” Arkham wrote on the media platform society X.

Arkham initially identified digital assets it believed belonged to Trump in August. The company based its findings from the financial disclosure the former President filed earlier that month.

Trump NFT Collection

Donald Trump released a collection of 45,000 NFTs priced at $99 each in December 2022. This collection has accumulated a total trading volume of 15,013 ETH ($35.4 million), according to NFT marketplace OpenSea. Then in April, Trump released a second NFT collection, also priced at $99 per NFT.

Trump Digital Trading Cards most recently generated $119,100 in trading volume for the week of December 17 to December 24.

Earlier this month, Trump unveiled another set of digital trading cards that give fans the chance to win perks like dinner with the former President or getting the suit he wore when he was arrested by Georgia police. arrested after being indicted in August.

According to the website for the former President’s digital trading card, the launch and promotion of Trump’s NFT was handled by NFT INT LLC. This company “is not owned, managed or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Digital LLC or any of their respective parent companies or affiliates.”

The website also states:

“NFT INT LLC uses the name, likeness and image of Donald J. Trump under a paid license from CIC Digital LLC. This license may be terminated or revoked according to their terms.”

Trump was previously listed as manager, president, secretary and treasurer of CIC Digital LLC, according to disclosures posted by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. Those documents show the former President owns up to $5 million worth of ETH and has earned at least $4.9 million from NFT permitting fees.

The recent sales tracked by Arkham come as ETH has increased nearly 20% over the past month. The world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is currently trading at $2,432, up 9% in the past 24 hours.
