Michael Saylor issues an important warning about Bitcoin

The founder of business intelligence giant MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor, spoke to the Bitcoin community, warning them of the new threat posed by the growing development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. In mid-December, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson issued a similar warning.

Michael Saylor warns the Bitcoin community

The founder of MicroStrategy took to social media platform X/Twitter to share with his followers that his security team has taken down deep-fake videos created with the help of AI from YouTube.

According to the Bitcoin evangelist, those scam videos feature crypto giveaway scams, Bitcoin trading, and about Saylor himself every 15 minutes. His tweet contained several “warning sign” emojis.

“Be careful of the outside world and remember there is no free lunch,” he warned the community.

Screenshots Saylor posted show “him” talking about a Bitcoin ETF that could potentially push the price of Bitcoin to $1 million.

One of the commentators responded with an excerpt of an AI-generated video in which “Saylor” is speaking on the “PBD” podcast, describing a “giveaway” and urging users to scan a QR code and send Bitcoin to receive double that amount – a typical cryptocurrency scam scheme.

In December 2023, scammers armed with AI tools recorded videos impersonating Charles Hoskinson and now they have chosen Michael Saylor because he is a vocal Bitcoin evangelist and an excellent personality in the world of business and finance.
