Shock for Grayscale: Barry Silbert resigned as chairman just before the approval of Bitcoin ETF

According to Reuters, Barry Silbert and Mark Murphy informed the SEC that they have resigned from the board of directors of Grayscale Investments, the largest Bitcoin (BTC) fund.

In a notice filed with the SEC on December 26, 2023, Barry Silbert and Mark Murphy announced their resignation as members of the board of directors of Grayscale Investments, effective January 1, 2024.

Mark Shifke will replace Barry Silbert as chairman of Grayscale’s board of directors and has appointed Matthew Kummell and Edward McGee to the board of directors.
